1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use the site.
2. How We Use Cookies
Find My Storage uses cookies for the following purposes:
Essential Cookies
These are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core features like user authentication and session management.
- Authentication cookies: Keep you signed in during your session.
- Security cookies: Help protect against fraudulent activity.
Analytics Cookies (only with your consent)
With your permission, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site, such as pages visited and time on site. These cookies are off by default and are only set if you choose "Accept all" or switch Analytics on in "Manage options". Until then, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that does not store anything on your device.
- _ga: Used to distinguish users. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_*: Used to persist session state. Expires after 2 years.
Functional Storage
We store a small number of settings on your device that are needed for features you ask for, such as remembering your cookie choice (fms_cookie_consent), your last search and your AI chat consent. These are strictly necessary and do not track you.
Advertising Cookies
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:
- Google Analytics: For website usage analytics (only with your consent)
- Google Maps: To show facility locations on maps
- Stripe: For secure payment processing (operators only)
4. Managing Your Choices
When you first visit, you can choose "Accept all", "Reject all" or "Manage options". Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works fully either way. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics and remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including viewing, deleting or blocking them.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page.
6. Contact
